I'm an avid mountain biker. Grabbing my handlebars was becoming increasingly  painful and I feared that my days behind bars were limited. Several years ago my little sister (an accomplished silversmith) gave me a copper cuff for my birthday. She was skeptical of my willingness to wear it, I promised that I would and slipped the cuff on my wrist and wore it through the night. The next day, after our bike ride to my surprise my hand was pain free.
